Prayer Episode

Recently , I've been living around muslims, and I noticed that anything that has to do with toilet or dirtiness, they don't want it around their prayer. I've aways believed i could talk to God anywhere and anytime. So this is me asking, can i pray when i'm easing myself in the toilet?Specifically, can I pray my rosary in th toilet?

Thank you this question. The call of scripture to pray always must be balanced with reverence required of us at prayer and what prayer truly is. Prayer as the lifting up of our heart and minds to God means this can be done in an environment that allows this. In my opinion, there is no particular prohibition against toilets in particular. It is a matter of prudential judgement if you are able to focus and reverence God while in that location. If it is a matter of saving time; a decade prayed with reverence is better than a full rosary with distractions. St. Jose Maria Escriva encouraged praying even in the kitchen, while taking a walk, while at work even. It is about keeping God in mind with the reverence due to him rather than the neatness of that location. Hope this helps!
